PlayStation confirmed via a post on its official blog yesterday that those who are currently enrolled in the PS5 system software beta program will get early access to the much-anticipated Discord integration, as well as variable refresh rate support for 1440p resolution, and a number of UX, accessibility and social feature updates. V5 would also not be possible without the very generous contributors who have allowed us to use resources such as models, and animations- these include BillBaraka, the DCI Last Alliance Team and the Europa Barbarorum II Team.The new PS5 system beta update will include Discord voice chat integration, ahead of a full rollout for all users later this year. We also thank our Beta Council and V5 Testers for their efforts in testing DaC, with special mentions to Sir Augmiund and Medik.

The main difference between the open beta and full release is that the open beta does not feature Shattered Alliances.
Although its an open beta, V5 is feature complete and has a tremendous amount of polish. Once we are pleased with its state, we will release a full release on ModDB. It will first be released as an open beta on our Discord, and we will periodically issue hotfixes to correct any bugs and perhaps even add new minor batches of content. However, unlike prior releases, we are taking a two-stage process for this release.
